The story of an orphaned Indian boy who travels through time in a search for identity. He finds himself inhabiting the body of an FBI agent during the civil rights era, the body of an Indian child at the battle at Little Bighorn, an Indian tracker in the 1800s and a present-day airline pilot. When finally the young warrior comes back to his own life, he is transformed.
Set in 1936 against a backdrop of civil war in Spain and the privations of the Depression at home, Rough Justice follows the lives, loves and losses of the Flanagans, the Tanners and the Lovells. All three families live on the top floor of the crumbling Turnbury Buildings - a Spartan Victorian dwelling close to the docks in London's East End.
