For her 50th birthday, the author finds herself leading fourteen women along the pilgrimage route of Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Before leaving, she consults a psychic, who warns of fights, lost jewelry, celebrities, a visit from Death, and a fair-haired man. After a week, she sets out on her own, encountering charming villages, more compatible pilgrims and a fair-haired man.
